A little piece of Britain and Ireland is making its way to the Sunshine City. The Wee British Shop is officially opening its doors in St. Pete, FL.
Owners John and Sarah know exactly what it’s like to crave those comforts of home. John hails from Brentwood, Essex and Sarah from Greenock, just outside Glasgow. After living in the Tampa Bay area for about 10 years, they realized something was missing- a local spot where the British and Irish community and anyone curious, could shop, connect and enjoy a proper brew.
When speaking with In the Know St. Pete Magazine, John and Sarah shared: “We’ll be stocking everything you know and love… and we can’t wait for everyone—not just expats—to come in, try the treats we grew up with and browse the unique gifts we’ll be bringing in too.”
The Wee British Shop is more than just a store, it’s a nostalgic experience. Whether you grew up across the pond or just fell in love with all things British after your first “cuppa,” this shop promises to deliver a taste of home and tradition.
The grand opening is planned for the first weekend of October and John and Sarah are eager to welcome the community into what they call their “little home away from home” in sunny St. Pete.
